High temperature smoke cooling method for baghouse dust collector

Bag filter has been widely used in various industries in China. The most outstanding achievement is that it overcomes the limitation of the high temperature resistance of the filter material of the bag filter. The bag filter is widely used in the purification of high-temperature flue gas such as the mineral furnace and kiln.

Below we introduce the following common cooling methods:

1, direct spray cooling


The water forms a fine mist through the nozzle and is sprayed into the high-temperature flue gas. The water vapor evaporates and absorbs a large amount of heat, so that the flue gas can be cooled. The advantage is that the flue gas cooling is rapid, and the equipment and investment required are not much; the disadvantage is that the moisture content of the flue gas increases, which may cause condensation of the flue gas and endanger the dust filter bag and clog the bag. Therefore, it is necessary to use nozzles with excellent performance and accurately control the amount of spray with a microcomputer. This device is expensive and complicated to control.

2, indirect cooling

High temperature smoke flows through one side of the heat exchanger while cold or outdoor air flows through the other side of the heat exchanger. The flue gas temperature is reduced without contact with each other. The advantage is that it does not increase the amount of flue gas. Since the temperature of the flue gas decreases, the actual flow of flue gas will also decrease, and the heat of flue gas can be recycled. The disadvantage is that the heat exchanger has a large volume, consumes more steel, and has a high investment. At the same time, the heat exchanger has a certain resistance, which increases the power consumption of the fan.

3, mixed with cold air direct cooling

A tee is installed on the inlet pipe of the precipitator, and outside air can enter the flue and mix with the flue gas, thereby reducing the temperature of the flue gas. The advantage is that the cooling rate is fast and the operation is simple. Only a few simple components are needed. The disadvantage is that it will increase the amount of flue gas. The larger the cooling rate, the more the volume of flue gas increases. Therefore, the filter area and equipment volume of the dust remover must be increased accordingly, thereby increasing the investment cost and the operating cost.

Each of the above three cooling methods has certain limitations and should be selected based on the specific characteristics of the smoke and the economic conditions of the manufacturers.
