The main cause of failure of the tubular screw conveyor is in the following aspects.
1. The working environment has a great influence on the service life of the tubular screw conveyor. The working environment of the screw conveyor is rather bad. The inside of the trough is a tumbling material and the outside is filled with dust. If the seal is not complete, the contaminants in the material and air once entering the bearing cavity will cause the bearing to wear, and it will also cause the shaft head to wear. The service life of the screw conveyor is greatly reduced.
2. Screw conveyor body seal is not tight enough. When the screw conveyor is in production, if the design production is not tight enough, the material will easily overflow from the body, which will aggravate the flying dust in the surrounding environment. The dust will stick to the lubricating oil more easily, causing the viscosity of the lubricating oil to be too large. We all know that if it is a U-shaped grooved screw conveyor, then the upper part of the body has a cover plate. Some users use the cover plate in order to facilitate observation of the conveying condition of the material in the body during use. When the material is moving forward, it is easy to cause the material dust to fly due to the high rotation speed. This is also one of the factors causing the surrounding industrial and mining, workshop production environment and equipment failure.
3. The light weight of the material is also likely to cause equipment failure. Due to the light weight of the material, the early spiral blade will have a stirring effect in the process of pushing the material forward. The material will be agitated. If the specific gravity of the material is too light, the material will be easy to fly. It will fly from the body and cause the surrounding Contamination of the environment can also lead to the ingress of ash into the equipment.
4. Common screw conveyor bearing seal structure. The left end of the bearing seat is connected to the inside of the trough, and the trough is full of material, and a leak-proof dustproof seal must be used. Rotary shaft lip seals are generally used to pack skeleton type oil seals. The main material of the oil seal is all kinds of rubber and has a steel skeleton. In the free state, the inner diameter is smaller than the shaft diameter and there is a certain amount of interference. After installation, the pressure of the lip and the contraction force of the self-tightening spring exert a certain holding force on the sealing shaft, and the leakage gap is blocked to achieve the purpose of sealing. The right end of the bearing cap is connected to the pulley. Because the dust in the working space is filled, the dust seal must be prevented from leaking. We use packing seals, seal grooves on bearing caps, and felt rings in the grooves. Felt has a natural elasticity and is a loose-hole sponge, which can store lubricating oil and can be dust-proof. When rotating, the felt can be scraped off the shaft and repeatedly lubricated. Now the design of the screw conveyor generally moves the head and tail bearings to the outside of the housing. The hanging bearings adopt sliding bearings and do not have dust-proof sealing devices. The bearing pads generally use powder metallurgy and the conveying cement uses felt bearings.
